The Mouse Treasures web site launched in February of 2005, however, the site has a much longer history. Two Disney collectors got together in December of 1998 and launched a Disney collectibles web site called "The Magic Carpet." The site focused mainly on the Walt Disney Classics Collection of sculptures and over subsquent years grew to include online games, E-cards, classified ads, a message board, and numerous additonal Disney collectibles lines. After numerous revisions to the web site and a change of domain names from "wdcc.net" to "disneywebnetwork.com," the site became too large for two collectors to run. Therefore, in June of 2004, the Disney Artwork web site (disneyartwork.com) was formed which focused soley on Disney collectibles and collectibles events. The "House of Disney" collectibles database was kept and expanded, while the online games, classifieds, web search site, and message board were discontinued. Then in September of 2004, the domain name "Disneyartwork.com" was transferred to the Official Disney company and both the Disney Artwork and House of Disney web sites underwent a temporary shutdown. The site was retooled with the generic "Mouse Treasures" name and much of the Disney logo graphics were removed from the site. The site was then reborn in February 2005. Today, Mouse Treasures contains the largest and most diverse collection of high-end Disney collectibles on the web. In addition, it hosts online recaps of many of the past Disney collectibles events for people to enjoy long into the future. The site is still created and maintained by the original two Disney collectors. It remains a non-profit endeavor created soley for hobby. The thousands who support its endeavors ensure its endurance long into the future.

WHAT IS THE HOUSE OF DISNEY?
The House of Disney is a SQL database of high-end Disney collectibles. Featuring the artwork of numerous Disney artists and manufacturers, the database provides quality color images and a variety of information about each collectible. By using a database environment, the user can perform complex searches to finding just the collectible they are searching for. Though we do not sell the collectibles, the database provides the information needed to search them out for sale on the secondary market and at special collectibles events.
